Student Support
We know the past two years have been hard! Now that we are back in person, it's easier to find the support you need.
*UPDATE*: Due to COVID-19, many therapists and support groups have moved to an online platform. Please see the links provided to find out how services are staying connected online.
COUNSELINGand SAP Program
Meet with a therapist usually once a week, for 45 minutes to an hour. This is a good option if you want to go more in depth about a mental health need, like depression/anxiety, grief, identity discovery, or others, and work on goals.
Counselors and SAP
-
Our school counselors are here to support you and your student!
-
They have open office hours throughout the day and students are encouraged to come during their lunch periods for non-emergency situations.
-
Our counselors work closely with the outside agencies Gemma and Einstein through the SAP (Student Assistance Program) in order to help students find outside resources of support.
-
If you or your student is in need of an outside referral, please email their school counselor. kcoutts@philasd.org or sadams@philasd.org
If you are in immediate need or having a crisis, please call 9-1-1.
